Education

Echoes In Time is a unique opportunity to provide additional learning activities for your audience. Cast members are available for a number of educational and community outreach programs that you can choose from. Any of the following may be paired with a presentation of Echoes In Time and hosted by the theatre or in partnership with local organizations like public schools, dance schools, or community centers.

  • Open rehearsals
  • Meet the artist events
  • Tap dance workshops (all levels)
  • Pre-show and post-show talk backs with the cast

Upon request, presenters can receive the Echoes In Time Educational Package, a downloadable PDF document that teachers can use to prepare their students before seeing the show. The Educational Package includes the following information:

  • Brief history of tap dance
  • An brief explanation of oral histories and oral traditions
  • Biographies of the tap dance contributors whose work is reconstructed in the show
  • References and links to additional resources
